While he tries to chase every opportunity, he effortlessly creates relationships with his fun personality. His untiring passion and great character led him to help others fulfil their Great Australian Dream. Along the process, he’s equally committed to upholding his values as much as he is in attaining his goal: to make buyers and sellers meet in the middle.
To work in the real estate industry was an opportunity that John grabbed straight after school. His experience working at a local chicken shop called “Legs ‘N’ Breast” and at nightclubs paved his way to enhance his communication and negotiation skills. After getting his Agent’s license, he began his real estate career at the reception desk in 2005 at his family’s company, First National Real Estate McGregor, doing both property management and strata management. What he thought was just the start of his career actually opened a lot of doors for John to venture to the different corners of real estate such as becoming a Real Estate Author, Commentator, Marketing Specialist, and Industry Consultant.
Aside from this, John has also shown his tireless efforts in mentoring the youth in his area, as well as working with charities and other activities. From here, he was presented the Glenorchy Young Citizen of the Year Award. Other than that, with his more than a decade of service, he also has been affiliated in different sectors such as being a Member of FIABCI International (a French acronym for the International Real Estate Federation) Real Estate Institute of Tasmania Southern Branch Member, REIT Board Member. He was also invited to become a Judge of the Young Achiever Awards and an Expert Judge for the Glenorchy Business Excellence Awards.
As a current Real Estate Agent, John’s main job simply put, is to introduce sellers to buyers. Under that roof, his role can also be demanding most of the time. One of the biggest elements that he considers each time is building and maintaining relationships. As a natural people-person, this hasn’t been a tricky job at all for him and by working with other experts enables his clients to benefit from the combined knowledge and skills to help them navigate through any difficult situation. In his car, John revealed that he always brings with him his permanent work bag where different gardening tools, cleaning supplies, and the like, are inside to be ready anytime to make sure everything goes through smoothly.
Among all his responsibilities, what he finds the most fulfilling is when people get stuck in a very sticky situation that is often outside their control, and his expertise successfully guides them down through the road. Another rewarding part of his role is the fact that his job can possibly provide a good lifestyle while being flexible when it comes to time. Being able to define his work schedule is an important factor to him in maintaining his work-life balance.
Outside the real estate environment, John loves to spend time with his brothers which are both located interstate. Whenever they have the chance to, they jump into playstation and computer games and play as they used to do when they were still children. Other than that, music is one of his greatest interests. He loves getting a friend to come and accompany him to play the guitar, drums, and piano (he got a music room set up at home). Whenever he finds time, he also socialises with other people as establishing relationships excites him. He makes sure to invest time with his parents and immediate family and friends, too.
Aside from the two shades of his eyebrows which not everyone notices, one fun fact about John is that he considers choosing to work with integrity along with his family as one of his greatest achievements. While he maintains his relationship with his clients, he as well maintains his reputation in general. He’s consistently proud that he can sleep comfortably at night without worrying about taking advantage of anyone for his personal interests. Instead, what he’s looking forward to is the welfare of the whole agency. Moving forward, John can visualise 4one4 Property Co. as a “hi-tech and hi-touch” company. While it constantly invests in good technology, it also creates innovative products that generate better connections and relationships within our community.
