Why video is KEY to property marketing

When marketing a home for sale it is the belief by a lot of people that video marketing is not a necessity and that owners should not invest marketing money in a medium that gets very little traction, however, it is my belief that video is not just a marketing gimmick but the KEY to selling a property in today’s tech savvy market because of the following reasons:

1. Information is absorbed differently

You many ask what do I mean by this and its simple some people enjoying reading our detailed property descriptions while others would prefer to enjoy a more visual method of property research where they can look at photos, floorplans and of course take a moment to watch one of our agent presentation videos.

2. Additional information is king

Although a property might receive thousands of online views videos tend to only receive a few hundred however what we tend to find is that genuine buyers tend to look at everything that is available online including video, this is great because in our videos we are able to explain additional features the property may have along with talk about the property in more detail.

This additional information has proved to be helpful for our mainland buyers (of which 40% of all properties sold in the last quarter were mainlanders) as it helps them to commit to fly down to inspect a property

3. Video builds an emotional connection

Video has the ability to connect buyers to a property on an emotional level if shot well and this can help sell a property more quickly and effectively. What we mean is that thought the correct music and descriptive words a video can create a much more personal connection with a purchaser which can help speed up the decision-making process.
