With pride and excitement, we’re happy to announce that just earlier this year, our Team officially became a member of this largest network of independent residential real estate firms across the globe!
To add to the prestige, recruitment of members in LeadingRE comes by invitation-only. This ensures the network is delivering the highest quality service to home buyers and sellers with the on boarding of trusted members resulting in exceptional client experiences. No doubt, the organisation generates around 1.3 million global transactions annually.
Chris McGregor, Legend of the Real Estate Industry here in Hobart and now a Real Estate Agent at 4one4 Property Co., introduced the organisation to our company. He shared how he started his journey from his previous organisation. “I first came across it in 2011 when I was at the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Conference in Cypress. My very good friend Chris Dietz is the Vice President of the Global Operations of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Since then, we have become very close friends and he invited us into the organisation…you can only join by invitation; you can’t ask to be involved with them. So, it’s really quite a privilege,” he said.
From its humble beginnings in 1963, LeadingRE was initially founded when real estate firms met in Chicago to form an organisation named RELO. In 1997, 50 of the largest brokerage firms in the United States left a major industry network in order to launch what later became Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE). Currently, it has established 3 head offices located in Chicago, London, and Singapore.
With the organisation’s mantra “Making the Best Brokerages Better”, it aims to provide its members with world-class business resources and national and global connections, which also sums up the thought at the start of this blog: “We’re Local. We’re Global.” This is one of the many advantages that Chris can see for 4one4 Property Co.
“Because we’re just a single office here in Hobart, sometimes, perception from clients can be drawn from our small organisation, but LeadingRE gives us the advantage that we’re not only running locally–we’re running nationally and internationally as well.”
In the last couple of months, Chris mentioned that nearly 3% of the agency’s sales are coming from the international market and growth in the national market can also be observed. “It gave us a much better perception in the marketplace,” he explained.
Chris also willingly shared how LeadingRE opened him to different opportunities such as travelling and exploring different parts of the world while discovering different real estate practices globally.
“We went to the Panama Congress. We organised some LeadingRE functions there. We also did a couple of visits to their offices. And from there, we went to Denison, Texas where there were members who picked us up in the airport and took us to four or five of their offices. The LeadingRE showed us around Denison and some of the premium properties that they have which was just an amazing experience.”
LeadingRE led Chris to create connections and establish friendships from several parts of the world, which he also hopes to be experienced by the Team at 4one4 Property Co. “I wouldn’t have that sort of experience without being in an organisation like this with good quality people,” he continued.
The organisation holds several congresses and conventions around the world among its many projects and plans for its members. Some of these events, though, were cancelled last year due to the COVID situation. But thanks to technology, virtual events are now possible. This coming October, a Global Symposium will be held physically in Dubai with observance of the necessary health and safety protocols.
When asked about the things that the 4one4 Property Co. Team should look forward to with its membership in LeadingRE, here’s what Chris had to say:
“I’m really excited for the Team for this opportunity. What I would like to do is for us to expand to be able to get some of our members in the office, once we can open our borders, to do some of the things we used to do and build connections with firms all across the globe… It is something I believe has helped me become a better operator, and I think there are a great amount of things we can all benefit from by being involved in LeadingRE .”
