Hobart’s real estate legend and one of 4one4 Property Co.’s exceptional agents, Chris McGregor, is the recipient of the President’s Award in the recently concluded 2022 REIT Awards for Excellence!

We are sending our massive and proudest congratulations to Chris for a very well-deserved recognition!!! Truth be told, with all his achievements and contributions to the real estate industry, such an award is not surprising at all–maybe to him, but certainly not to us 🙂

4one4 Property Co. Director Patrick Berry expressed his appreciation for the efforts and passion of Chris to the real estate industry over the years. “Chris’ dedication and contribution to the industry over more than 30 years is immeasurable as, over his career, he has put in countless hours to ensure that the industry is not only heading in the right direction but being presented in a positive light,” Patrick claimed.

“For Chris to be presented with this award showcases what a class act he truly is. Congratulations, Chris, from everyone here at 4one4.”

The Real Estate Institute of Tasmania (REIT) Awards champions excellence and celebrates the real estate industry’s achievements, recognising the most outstanding practitioners. It aims to encourage and promote the best practices as far as real estate is concerned.

One of the most prestigious individual awards one could get in the 2022 REIT Awards for Excellence is the President’s Award. This award highlights and gives appreciation to real estate professionals who have significant contributions to the industry over an extended period of time.

To qualify for this award, an individual must have been involved in the real estate industry for at least ten years. Some of the other qualifications enumerated in the official guidelines of the 2022 REIT Awards for Excellence include the following: (1) professional abilities and achievements, (2) relevant legislative, market, and industry knowledge, (3) commitment to ongoing professional development, (4) leadership in the industry including commitment to the professional development of others, (5) highest professional and ethical standards, and (6) participation in state or territory REI activities and/or contribution to the work of REIA.

Entrants must also be REI members or employees at the time of nomination and the award presentation date. Nominees are recommended by fellow REIT members based on their own selection criteria via the Awards online portal.

With Chris’ selfless service to the industry, he undoubtedly ticked all the boxes required. Kick-started in 1986, Chris has already mastered the ins and outs of the real estate field with more than three decades of experience. 

Aside from his individual professional growth, he has been socially involved, too, with different organisations–sharing his knowledge with fellow real estate professionals. Some of his affiliations include serving the REIT Boards since 1989 and being elected as State President from 1998-2000. He has been an REIT trainer and auctioneer, too, for about ten years. From 2004 to 2010, 2018 – 2021 he also committed his time to the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) Board and became the Deputy President from 2009 to 2010. 

Aside from these, Chris also became the National Australian President for FIABCI for 4 years, a French acronym for the International Real Estate Federation based in Paris–currently Vice President. He is also an active member of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) which made 4one4 Property Co’s membership possible too (you may check this blog for the details). He’s also a member of the National Association of Realtors Global Business & Alliances Group USA and an Honorary Member of the SBAOR Global Real Estate Committee California, USA.

Other things that make up his real estate life include being a Fellow of the following: Real Estate Institute of Australia, Australian Marketing Institute and CPM, Australian Institute of Management, and Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

The 2022 Real Estate Awards for Excellence awarding ceremony was held on 22 October 2022 in Launceston. In our recent blog, we shared that 4one4 Property Co. has also been nominated for four agency awards and 1 individual category. The stars may not have aligned with our hopes that night, but everyone definitely had a good time on the floor (wink). 

As much as we are proud of Chris’ achievement, we are also equally proud of all the amazing superstars of 4one4! Congratulations on a job–always well done! Cheers!!!
