Chris McGregor Bags Another President’s Award

Excellence and passion for real estate filled the Crown Towers Ballroom in Perth last night to celebrate the 2023 National Awards for Excellence, hosted by REIWA

Three hundred (300) of Australia’s best real estate agents gathered to recognise and celebrate real estate professionals’ achievements across Australia. And 4one4 Property Co’s Chris McGregor wasn’t only in attendance, but also had the good fortune to leave with one of the night’s most coveted awards (way to go, Chris!!!).

A huge congratulations goes out to Chris for being awarded the REIA Awards for Excellence President’s Award, one of the evening’s most esteemed prizes. Chris received recognition for his enormous contribution to the real estate industry over the course of four decades, not just in Tasmania but also through his involvement with the national organisation, FIABCI, a French acronym for the International Real Estate Federation, which is based in Paris, and other worldwide real estate organisations.

For over 40 years, Chris has shown selfless interest and dedication in the real estate sector and even trained aspirants who are now professionals in the real estate field. Aside from this, he is socially involved, too, with different groups where he gets to sharpen his management and communication skills. It can be remembered that on 22 October 2022, he was the recipient of the President’s Award during the 2022 REIT Awards for Excellence.

To say he’s an experienced real estate legend is an understatement. The following paragraphs shall prove that point (*wink).

Chris has served on the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania (REIT) Boards since 1989 and was elected as State President from 1998 to 2000. He also committed his time to the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) Board from 2004 to 2010 and became the Deputy President of REIA from 2009 to 2010. In 2018, he re-joined the REIA National Board until December 2021.

Chris has also been an REIT Trainer and Auctioneer for approximately 10 years. He is also the present National Australian Vice President for FIABCI and an active member of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) which paved the way for 4one4 Property Co. to be a valuable member too.

Other things that make up his real estate life include being a Fellow of the following: Real Estate Institute of Australia, Australian Marketing Institute and CPM, Australian Institute of Management, and Australian Institute of Company Directors. He’s also a member of the National Association of Realtors Global Business & Alliances Group USA and an Honorary Member of the SBAOR Global Real Estate Committee California, USA. Chris has also served as an REIA National Awards Judge for Excellence since 2006 and he’s also a FIABCI Prix d’Excellence International Awards Judge since 2012. Likewise, he’s also a Judge for the REINT and REIACT Awards.

The 2023 National Awards for Excellence was a night of celebration and recognition for the outstanding achievements of real estate professionals across Australia.

REIA President, Mr Hayden Groves, said the awards “showcased the best of the best in an industry that has undergone incredible change and challenges in recent times.”

The REIT Board and Secretariat congratulated all the winners and finalists for their time and considerable effort taken to represent their state on the national stage. Tasmania may be the small island at the bottom of the map, but across our state, we were lucky enough to have 4 winners out of 21 acknowledged on the evening.

On the bigger picture, real estate significantly contributes to the Australian economy, and nights like this recognise the contributions and hard work of the people working in the sector. The National Awards for Excellence provides a venue for showcasing and honouring real estate experts’ top methods, discoveries, and accomplishments–which might inspire other real estate professionals too.

In other exciting news, the REIT announced that Tasmania would be hosting the National Awards for Excellence here in our very own backyard in Hobart in 2024. Double the fun since the 2024 event will also celebrate and showcase 100 years of the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA)!

Until then, our team at 4one4 Property Co. sends out our massive congratulations to Chris and all the winners and finalists. May this event inspire other people to aim higher and dream bigger. We are looking forward to the 2024 National Awards for Excellence when they are here next year.
