Just like her love for dancing, she’s always committed to her movement and stays focused at every moment. She also finds ways to balance the things she loves the most and gracefully move to whatever beat life throws at her. With all the steps she had to perfect, it’s now her turn to perform on the real estate dance floor. 

Whether rehearsed or freestyle, Demi ensures to work to the rhythm of life as smoothly as possible. Real estate might be a completely strange platform for her, but she believes that practice makes perfect. And in no time, she’ll certainly master the dynamics there are in this industry.

We’re lost for words but we’re filled with nothing but excitement to officially welcome the newest addition to the 4one4 fam bam (that’d definitely add groove to the rental team), Demi Shea!

Before she decided to tread the boards of real estate, Demi was a hard worker in a law firm doing conveyancing–working as both a secretary & receptionist. From dealing with different types of people with various personalities, she was able to master those communication skills that are highly valuable in her new role as a portfolio manager. 

Aside from being well-versed in communicating, Demi highlighted when we had a lovely chat with her how having people-person skills spells a great difference. “I think patience is a really good characteristic and just listening to everyone,” Demi mentioned. “You just need to have a good understanding of what the issues are and I feel like I’m really good with people as I’ve worked in an industry that has always people around,” she added. 

Demi is looking forward to building good relationships with her clients as she takes over an established portfolio with her role. Perhaps the biggest thing that she could bring to the role is the fact that she sees understanding clients and knowing where they are coming from as perhaps the most important of her role. Moreover, she thinks that comprehending their needs is a vital part of the whole process, too. “Connecting with others is a pretty simple thing to do- if you just take the time to be attentive and present,” she said.

Demi is one who befriends challenges and she sees them as avenues to learn from and develop further in her craft. Just like the bravery it takes to step up on the stage for a dance performance; if given an option, she’s always up for exploring new things. In Demi’s mind, you learn the most when you push yourself out of the box; the real fun happens when you step out of your comfort zone. 

What’s good is she’s now a part of an organisation that openly cares for development while each member pushes you to the top. She loves how supportive and welcoming everybody is. 

“I feel like I’ve fitted in this role easily because everyone is just so lovely here which makes my job really easy too. It’s a huge family and a great environment to be in.”

At this point, you must have heard a lot about Demi’s professional life. So, let’s explore more about her personal life, outside the work setting. When she’s not spending her days managing portfolios, Demi loves to hangout with her friends and family. She is a very sociable and friendly person and always makes sure to spend time with her near and dear loved ones.

Aside from that, we might have mentioned it a bit in the beginning (and if you’ve been able to read between some of the not-so-subtle subtext of our blog), but Demi is a MAJOR  lover of dancing in all forms. She loves to dance and she has been doing it as a hobby for 21 years now. This keeps her sane and relaxed during her spare time–a breather from her everyday schedule. She does different genres of dancing such as jazz and intense hip hop.

Just a fun fact, Demi was actually selected to be a part of the Tasmania Jack Jumpers’ cheerleaders in its first season. That experience, for her, was certainly one for the books and is definitely worth looking back.

“I already loved dancing, so doing that was really fun–interacting with the crowd and getting to make the best of it. It was really an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it again.”

Yep, what you just read was right. Demi is planning to audition again in a few month’s time for the second season of the NBLs 2022 finalists the Jack Jumpers. And who knows? The 4one4 family might just form its own cheerleading team to go all out in supporting her on this (not unlike we did recently for Mikayla & Taylese’s Netball mid-week team!!! Here is another fun fact about Demi – she is a mad fan of all things science. In fact, she once dreamt of becoming a marine biologist. But the stars have realigned and the tables have turned–she’s in the real estate business now. Regardless, she loves what she’s currently doing now and she’s looking forward to creating more memories with the 4one4 team!
