In the world of real estate, where every day brings new challenges and exciting opportunities, we delight in welcoming individuals who possess a zest for familiarising the unknown and a genuine passion for connecting with people.
Today, we extend a heartfelt welcome to a remarkable individual who embodies these and a lot more other interesting qualities. Allow us to virtually blast the party poppers to officially welcome our newest Portfolio Manager, Stephanie Haba!
Stephanie or “Steph” as we affectionately call her in the office, was one stranger to real estate when she started her 4one4 escapade not so long ago. And yes, it’s a 4one4 milestone to make her fall in love with real estate, but more specifically (and deeply) with property management.
To be fair, Steph has always been interested in sales. In fact, her previous role at Volkswagen was highly involved in sales. Selling new car models to different customers has unlocked her people-person and communication skills. Working there for quite a while made her want to continue pursuing a sales-related career.
And when the opportunity kicked in, she had a chat with 4one4 Property Co’s Director, Patrick Berry, but only to find out that hustling in real estate sales might not work for her at the moment. But the tables have turned and another opportunity knocked on her door–you guessed it, 4one4’s Property Management Director, Abbey Berry, has reached out for a chat, opening a challenging yet fulfilling pathway for her.
Needless to say, although it required a quick google search to find out exactly what a property manager’s role actually is, she just felt her adrenaline rush after a few quick clicks of the mouse.. Having a ‘growth-happens-outside-your-comfort-zone’ mindset, she bravely gave it a try! Anyway, in such moments of exploration, only we push the boundaries of what is possible, right?
Fast forward to the present, Steph now enjoys helping out the lovely girls in the 4one4 Property Co. office doing inspections and learning new things every day from her new property management mentors . Though everything so far is new to Steph, there is one thing that comes very naturally to her.
Dealing with people.
She has had a wealth of experience interacting with different types of customers: from the nicest of nice to those more how do we say ‘difficult ones’. Not that a lot of tenants and landlords are hard to deal with–in fact, ours are very lovely and friendly people (a massive shout out to them!), but truth be told, it wouldn’t be a surprise to encounter clients with differing perspectives and personalities.
Being her calm self and a natural with people, Steph knows that customer service and engagement won’t be a problem at all. This shall be the cornerstone of exceptional client experiences and harmonious relationships–leaving a lasting impression, one interaction at a time.
On the other end of the spectrum, one eye-opening facet of the role that Steph has found already, is the fact that every day brings something new & you can’t expect anything during inspections–every place & every property can provide something totally different from the other.
Nevertheless, she still finds this challenge as a learning experience every day. And to deal with it alongside some vibrant and dynamic co-workers spell a great difference.
“I think the group at 4one4 is amazing. They are super funny and lovely. They’ll do anything to help anyone. It’s just really sweet and nice to be around.”
Now that we’ve made a quick tour and some detours to Steph’s professional life, you might be wondering what life looks like for her outside the work setting. Well, to help you picture it, her interests are very much aligned with 4one4 members’. You’ll see why in the following points.
The majority of her spare time is occupied by her cutie patootie 7-month-old mini dachshund, Cino (that sounds like a very 4one4 thing to do). Steph adores him so much and she likes to do a lot of things with him including going on a walk every Sunday along with a walking group in Hobart with dachshunds as well (cuteness overload!).
In addition, Steph is sociable and friendly–like the 4one4 crew! She enjoys spending time with her friends and you’d most probably see her on any sort of lunch date with them! Ballet used to be her main interest, but times have changed. Her current source of peace and tranquillity, aside from her puppy dog, of course, is baking pastries (who can resist sweets?!?).
One fun fact about Steph is that she’s half-Polish. Her dad was born in Poland and she grew up around different Polish food–and her most favourite? Pierogi!
She has never been to Poland–just yet–but Steph’s planning to go and visit there someday. That’s the number one place on her list and she’s currently saving to fulfil her goal and meet some family members there.
We have pretty much covered almost everything we need to know about Steph, but we still can’t wait to spend more quality time with her and get to know her deeper through casual stories, spontaneous moments, and everyday work interactions.
